A Salute to Women

Anna Eleanor Roosevelt was the first lady of the United States from 1933 to 1945, during her husband President Franklin D. Roosevelt's four terms in office, making her the longest-serving first lady of the United States. She said, “A Women is like a tea bag…you can’t tell how strong she is until you put her in hot water.” I personally have seen many strong women over the years. Women who have worked two full careers at the same time…one outside the home, and one inside the home raising her family.

In the last year, I have seen strong women leave their homeland and work fiercely, against all odds, making a new home for their families! Women who said, “I know I can”, when all the world shouted, “You can’t!” Jesus loves all the women of the world. When He walked on this earth He would go against the culture of the day when the culture treated women wrongly. In Luke 8, we see a woman suffering, she was hemorrhaging for 12 years, doctors could not help her.

Although forbidden by society, she pushed her way through the crowd to touch Jesus garment, believing to be healed. She was not disappointed! Women be encouraged today! God is on your side! He created you…He loves you! There is never a moment when He is not concerned about all that concerns you. Trust Him with your whole heart! Whether the going is rough or smooth at this moment in your life, be assured that God is on your side! He cares deeply. Have a blessed day!

Proverbs 31:30 -“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.”
