Words....

Managing your words sets the tone for your day...

What is the first thing that comes to mind when you open your eyes in the morning? When you turn over or just lay there, what pops into your mind? What you think about or allow to fill your mind in these initial minutes of each day can determine, in large, how the rest of your day goes. If you pull the covers over your head and fill your mind with how terrible this day is going to be, how much you hate your workplace, how unkind your boss or colleagues are, you have math class today which is your worse subject, you had a miserable sleep and this day will be miserable, as well...then be guaranteed that your day will not be a good one, you will not feel any amount of fulfillment in what you have to do that day.

Now, this is not the easiest thing to do,

if you can master it, it will transform your day! It can only be done by choice and practice. So, when you turn over, after the wake-up alarm goes off, and pull the covers over your head, choose to focus on the things that you can be thankful for; to name a few, the fact that you can get out of bed, hundreds wish they could, but cannot, you have a school or workplace to go to, hundreds wish they did, but do not, you have food to eat, if you wish to eat, thousands in our world do not. What about the fact that you can see, hear, taste, or hear? No price tags can be put on these blessings.

Give it a try,

practice it! Get out of bed, look yourself in the mirror. This is one time it is alright to talk to yourself! Begin to speak, good, lovely and admirable things into your life for the day! This is not based on how you feel, it is based on choice...a choice that can not only change your day but your outlook on life!

And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing.

Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honourable, and right, and pure, and lovely,
